Shirley B. Murray

Shirley B. Murray, 87, of Sewall's Point, FL. was reunited with Christ Jesus our Redeemer at her eternal home January 7, 2022. She was born & raised in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. and was graduate of South Broward High School and Florida State University. Shirley has been a resident of Stuart, FL since 1968. She was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Herman M. Murray, Daughter-in-Law, Vicki L. Murray (Shannon), and Sister, Linda Dumond (Ed). She is survived by her two sons, Shaun Murray (Laura) of  Merritt Island, and Shannon Murray (Kelly) of Hobe Sound. Survivors also include: her grandchildren Cameron (grandson), Carson (grandson), Evan (grandson), Tori (granddaughter) and Dylan (bonus grandson).

Shirley was Vice President of family-owned, Murray Insurance Services, Inc. for more than 35 years, a member of First Baptist Church of Stuart, a member of the Florida State University Alumni and  Boosters, and Phi Mu Sorority. Her previous work experiences involved teaching elementary school and  law paralegal. Today Shirley lost her earthly battle with cancer, she has survived two other forms of cancer in her long and fulfilling life. She exemplified her life as a lady, woman of god, and a powerful  businesswomen over her 87 years to all who knew her – family, friends and clients. Shirley's life enriched the lives of all those who were privileged to know her.
