Sidney F. Sigwald, 85, of Hobe Sound, FL, passed away on May 27, 2016 at his home.

Born in Washington, DC, he had been a resident of Hobe Sound for years coming from Connecticut.

During the Korean War, he had been a Naval Aviator. He was a graduate of the University of Maryland.

Prior to retirement he was a commercial pilot with United Airlines.

Survivors include his wife, Georgeanne W. Sigwald; his nieces, Karen Arnold and Laura Lockwood, both of Maryland and his nephew, Mark Sigwald of Wisconsin. He was preceded in death by his sister, Marian and his brother Robert Sigwald.

There will be a graveside service at 1:30 PM on June 2, 2016 at the Forest Hills Memorial Park, Palm City with military honors.
