Obituary of Stanley Stern

Stanley A. Stern, 82, of Palm City, died February 29, 2012 his home.

Born in New York, New York he had been a resident of Palm City for 20 years, coming from Tabernacle, New Jersey.

He served in the US Army.

Before retiring, he was an engineer with RCA/GE in Moorestown, New Jersey for 20 years where he was part of the team that developed the Navy AEGIS weapons system. Earlier he helped developed the mission simulator for the NASA Apollo Program.

Survivors include his wife, Kay Stern; sons, Bill Stern and James Stern; daughters, Elizabeth Davidson, Beth Shuster and Lanie Diamond, five grandchildren and a sister Gloria. He was preceded in death by a twin sister Marilyn Karin.

SERVICES: Visitation will be from 12:30 to 1:15 PM on March 5, 2012, at Forest Hills Funeral Homes, Palm City Chapel. There will be a service at1:15 PM on March 5 in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow immediately in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Palm City.
