Obituary of Steve Gombas

Steve Joseph Gombas, 74, died July 5, 2011, at his home. He was born in Kistarcsa, Hungary, and lived on the Treasure Coast since 1980, coming from Boca Raton, Before retirement, he was an entrepreneur in residential and commercial real estate. He was a member of Mariner Sands Country Club in Stuart, where he was a club champion in 1981, and Martin Downs Country Club in Palm City. Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Sylvia Gombas of Palm City; sons, David M. Gombas of New Jersey and Grant M. Gombas of Canada; daughters, Renee Freund of New Jersey, Paige Finkelstein of New York and Mary Gombas of Canada; sisters Elizabeth and Margit, both of Hungary; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Stephen Gombas.
