Obituary

In Loving Memory of Steven Arthur Grau,

It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Steve, who departed this earthly life on Monday, June 5th.

He was a devoted husband, cherished father, loyal friend, and an exceptional individual whose absence leaves an immeasurable void in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him. Steven entered this world with a radiant spirit that would touch countless lives throughout his journey. Steve was a man of remarkable character and unwavering integrity. He approached life with a contagious enthusiasm, inspiring all who knew him. His warm smile, kind-heartedness, and genuine concern for others were his defining traits, endearing him to everyone he encountered.

Steve was a loving and devoted family man. He married the love of his life, Maryann. Their union was a testament to enduring love and unwavering commitment. Together, they built a foundation of love, trust, and shared dreams, creating a warm and nurturing home for their children, Valerie and Ryan. Steve was a dedicated father who took great joy in watching his children grow, supporting their endeavors, and instilling in them the values of compassion, resilience, and kindness. As a father, Steve was a pillar of strength and a constant source of guidance for his children. He tirelessly nurtured and encouraged them to pursue their dreams, instilling in them the values of compassion, determination, and resilience. His children were his pride and joy, and he reveled in witnessing their achievements and milestones. Outside of his family, Steve was a true friend to many. His magnetic personality, genuine warmth, and ability to connect with others on a deep level made him a cherished confidant and trusted companion. He possessed an uncanny ability to brighten any room he entered and to uplift the spirits of those around him. His wit, humor, and infectious laughter will forever echo in the hearts of those fortunate enough to have shared in his company.

As we mourn the loss of Steve, we also celebrate the extraordinary legacy he leaves behind. His unwavering kindness, unyielding compassion, and profound love will continue to inspire us all. Though his physical presence may be absent, his spirit will forever reside in the memories we hold dear.

Steve is survived by his loving wife, Maryann, his cherished children, Valerie and Ryan, and a host of relatives and friends who will forever hold him close to their hearts.

A celebration of Steve's life will be held on May 12th at 10 in the morning at Forest Hills Funeral Home followed by a mass at Holy Redeemer at 12 in the afternoon.

In honoring his memory, let us find solace in the love and joy he shared, embracing the lessons he taught, and carrying his legacy forward in our own lives.
