Susan (Sue) Hopkins, adored wife of Richard (Dick), loving mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend, passed away peacefully on June 13, 2024. Sue was a social butterfly, enjoying the community at Willoughby and her family in New York. Sue loved cooking (and eating), gardening, dancing, travelling, golfing, playing cards and Mahjong. She was devoted to Dick, her husband of 35 years; she was the love of his life. Sue was strong, beautiful and bold. Her smile lit up the room and she will be greatly missed.  She would always say, "inch by inch it's a cinch" and we are remembering that now during this difficult time.

Sue was preceded in death by her sister Vicki LaBagh Skinner.  She is survived and remembered by her children: Kelly Henderson, Matthew Henderson (Peter), Mary Maue (Rich), Laura Hopkins and Richard Hopkins; and 9 grandchildren, Rachel, Victoria, William, Mark, Haley, Sean, Luke, Ethan and Parker.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Forest Hills Palm City Chapel on Wednesday, June 19th at 12:00 p.m.   The family welcomes anyone with a story or remembrance of Sue to come share it as we celebrate her wonderful life.  The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital. https://www.stjude.org/donate
