Susan E. POWELL
(July 3, 1938-June 8, 2023)

Susan E. Powell entered into eternal rest to be with Jesus on June 8, 2023. Susan was born July 3, 1938, in Miami Beach. She was preceded in death by her parents, D. Lee Powell, Martha B. Powell, and her only sister, Mary Lee Brooks. Her father served as an elected official from 1942 until retiring in 1971 having served as Mayor three terms.

Susan is survived by her precious dog, Coco, niece, Lisa (Tim) Hines & Jennifer Brooks, great niece Brooke Hines, great nephews Tim Hines Jr.
(Emily) & children, Spencer & Hunter Hines, cousins in Jacksonville, hosts of friends to include her dear friend, Patricia Greene who loved &
cared for Susan for 6 years.

Susan was truly dedicated to her family, friends & her Church where she was an active member and in charge of the Columbarium Niche where she will be laid to rest.

Susan attended Mary Baldwin College and earned a BBA degree from the University of Georgia. Before retirement she was a Miami banker for over 35 years. Susan was a member of The Garden Club of Stuart, Hibiscus Circle, National Association of Bank Women, St. Francis Hospital Foundation Board of Trustees Miami Beach, The Vizcayans Board of Trustees, Miami, The Junior League of Miami & Martin County, Daughters of the American Revolution, Kappa Alpha Theta Fraternity & The Bath and LaGorce Country Clubs.
