Obituary of Sylvester Sowa
Sylvester Sowa, 93, of Port St. Lucie, Florida, died, January 9, 2010 at Palm City Nursing and Rehabilitative Care Center, Palm City, Florida.
Born in Blazowa, Poland, he had been a resident of Port St. Lucie for 18 years coming from Miami, Florida. He came to Florida in 1952 from Birmingham, England. Before retiring he was the owner of the TV Grill in Miami for 30 years.
Survivors include a daughter, Chris Sowa of Port St. Lucie, a son Michael Sowa of Lavona, Georgia; nieces, Cathy Flagel of Port St. Lucie and Maria Domagala of Miami, and nephews, Zebek Sowa and Tadeusz Sowa of Warsaw, Poland. He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Emilia Sowa and a sister Regina Blakely.
SERVICES: Visitation will be from 9:00 to 10:30 AM on January 16, 2010 at the Forest Hills Funeral Homes - Byrd, Young and Prill Chapel, Port St. Lucie. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on January 16, 2010 at St. Lucie Catholic Church. Entombment will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Palm City.
