Thomas E. DePaola 2/23/1936 - 11/25/2020

Thomas E. DePaola, (84), of Port Saint Lucie, FL, passed away peacefully at home with his wife Lucille by his side.

Thomas was born in Brooklyn, NY, in 1936 and was a former resident of Farmingdale, NY where he achieved the rank of a Police Detective Supervisor while serving in law enforcement. Prior to him being a police officer, Thomas served his country in the Army in 1954. While in the Army he fought in the Korean War and achieved the SP3 ranking.

Thomas, his wife and family moved to Florida in 2002 where they settled in the St. Lucie West community.  Thomas was a faithful parishioner of St. Bernadette Catholic Church in St. Lucie West.

Thomas's loved ones are his wife Lucille; son, Thomas, and his wife Angela DePaola; daughters, Diana and her husband Dennis (deceased) Marrone; and Deborah Weischedel who has also passed away; grandchildren: Cristina, Nicole, Thomas, and J.R.

A visitation will take place at St. Bernadette Catholic Church on Monday, November 30 ^th , 2020 at 9:00 am followed by a funeral mass in Thomas's honor at 10:00 am.

A light from our household gone.

A voice we loved is stilled.

A place is vacant in our home,

that never can be filled.

The Golden Gates did open.

A gentle voice said "Come" and with farewell unspoken, we said,

"Thy will be done".
