Obituary of Thomas Pisel
Thomas W. Pisel, 94, died Monday, September 24, 2007 at Martin Memorial Medical Center in Stuart.
Born in Bloomdale, Ohio, he has resided in Martin County for 35 years moving to Stuart from Westlake, OH in 1972 and later to Palm City.
He retired as Manager of Organization and Development after 30 years with General Motors Corporation. After retirement he was vice president of Sales Analysis Institute in Oak Park, IL.
He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II serving in Technical Service Command, Troop Carrier Command and Director of Manpower-Air Service Command.
He was a member of Palm City Presbyterian Church and served on the Membership Planning, Pastor Search and Stewardship Committees.
He was a former board member of Florida Mental Health Association and founding member of Crisis Line of Martin County.
He was an avid bridge player and reader.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Tyris Pisel and brother, Malcolm Pisel. He was survived by a nephew, Charles N. Hruska, and two grandnieces, Ellie DeLeon and Nickola Vail.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Palm City Presbyterian Church, 2700 S.W. Martin Highway, Palm City, FL 34990.
A Memorial Service is scheduled at Palm City Presbyterian Church on Thursday, October 25, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. Inurnment will take place at the Church immediately following the service.
