Obituary of Thomas Staton
Thomas M. Staton, 64, of Jenson Beach, died March 12, 2009 at the Martin Memorial Medical Center, Stuart, Florida
Born in Richmond, Virginia, he had lived in Jensen Beach for 30 years coming from Richmond.
During the Vietnam War he served in the U.S. Navy.
Before Retiring he had been a truck driver for Hunter Auto Company and St. Lucie Chemical Company, both in Stuart. He also worked for Brinks for 10 years and had been a firemen both in Richmond.
Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Dale Staton of Jensen Beach; sons Lynn Staton and Michael Staton, both of Richmond; stepsons, Larry Stuart of Scituate, Massachusetts; Randy Stuart of Jensen Beach and Chris Stuart of Southington, Connecticut; a step daughter Sherri Bradley of Port St. Lucie; a sister, Ruth Ann Hennesy; 1 grandchild and 6 step grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Frances Staton and a sister Marcia Gimmy.
SERVICES: Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on March 18, 2009 at the Forest Hills Funeral Homes - Palm City Chapel. There will be a funeral service at 11:00 AM on March 19, 2009 in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Palm City with military honors proved by the US Navy.
