Thomas James Stewart was born on September 1, 1928 and left this earth on December 4, 2022, the Sabbath of our Lord. He grew up in Anninston, Alabama until the age of 14, when he moved with his family to Tyler, Texas.
He began working at Tyler Pipe foundry at age 15 and worked there for 50 years, retiring as the general manager and vice president of the Allentown, PA foundry.
He was married to Mable Louise Rell for 67 years He is survived by his Son James Thomas Stewart, Daughter Julie Barnette, Brother Richard Stewart, Grandchildren Courtney, James, Kate and Seth, Great grandchildren Violet, Andrew, Lucas, Noah, Lucy and Henry.
He and his wife Mable were world travelers and visited 31 countries. He told many jokes, most of which were bad and laughed at all of them. Tom was generous with his time and money. He was a member of the First Baptist Church and served diligently as a member of Ministries.
The service will be conducted by The Rev. Daryl Orman and his best friend Tom Snipes at Forest Hills Palm City Chapel, Friday, December 9 at 11am.
