Obituary of Trelmarie Fountain
TrelMarie Fountain, 76, Sugarloaf Key, went to her eternal resting place on July 20, 2007 after a courageous nine-month battle with lung cancer.
Funeral services for Mrs. Fountain will take place at 11 a.m., July 25, in the Forest Hills Funeral Home Chapel, in Palm City. Family visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. July 25 at Forest Hills Funeral Home.
Born Jan. 2, 1931 in Elba, AL, Fountain grew up in Alabama and later moved to New York City, where she worked for Ideal Toy Company. The southern girl married Robert J. Fountain, Aug. 5, 1953 in New York City. In 1969, the couple moved to Hollywood, FL where they made their home with son, Robert, until Sept. 28. 1984 when the senior Fountain passed away. Mrs. Fountain moved to the Florida Keys, where she enjoyed her socializing with friends at weekly games of bingo. She was a helpful and caring friend. She also was a proud grandmother of four, and the special aunt to one niece and two nephews.
Survivors include one son, Robert Thomas Fountain Sr. and his wife, Sue, Port St. Lucie; one sister, Qumi Beckwith, Bowie, Texas; four grandchildren, Robert Joseph Jr., Justin, Katelyn and Michael, all of Port St. Lucie, FL; one niece, Barbara Green and her husband, Keith, Bowie, Texas; two nephews, David Beckwith, Texas, and Jack Beckwith, Wyoming.
