Obituary of Valerie Schlawiedt
Valerie A. Schlawiedt, 69, of Palm City, passed away July 14, 2008 at Treasure Coast Hospice in Stuart. She was born February 12, 1939 in Queens County, New York. She had been a resident of the Treasure Coast since 1972, moving from New York. Before retirement she was a secretary at United Airlines at Kennedy Airport in New York, and Flashes Publications in Stuart. She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Stuart and Evergreen Country Club in Palm City where she was an avid golfer and devoted much of her time to the Ladies Club League.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Frederick Schlawiedt; her son, Scott Schlawiedt of Stuart; her sister, Carol Jacobs of Englewood; and two granddaughters.
Visitation will be 9:30 11:00AM, Thursday, at Forest Hills Funeral Home, Palm City Chapel with a video presentation. A funeral service will follow immediately in the chapel with Pastor Dave Albers officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of the Treasure Coast, 4100 SW Leighton Farm Ave., Palm City, FL 34990, in Valeries memory.
