Vernee Sanders
STUART, Fla. — Vernee M. Sanders, 94, of Stuart passed away peacefully Monday (June 9, 2025).

Vernee was born Nov. 8, 1930, in Hazel Hurst, Pa.

Vernee had multiple career positions in her life and ultimately found her passion as a certified nursing assistant (CNA) caring for others. Her heart belonged to the ocean, where she enjoyed swimming.

Vernee was preceded in death by her husband, Gorden Sanders; and four siblings, Bea, Scott, Valery and Shelley. She is survived by one brother, Dale Campman from Smethport, Pa.; three children, Aaron Brooks Dodge of Port St Lucie, Susan (Kyle) Eklum of Jamestown, N.Y., and Lauren Mohlin of Jensen Beach; and three grandchildren, Nathan Bottorf, Derek Eklum and Daniel Eklum.
