Victor (Vic) Lee Hilton, 86, of Haines City, Florida, passed away Wednesday, August 7, 2019, after a brief illness.

He was born October 31, 1932, the only child of Garland and Mabel (Oden) Hilton in Fairmount, Indiana. He was a graduate of Fairmount High School and the General Motors Institute. Vic was a Korean War veteran and worked at Fisher Body in Marion, Indiana until his retirement.

Vic married LouAnn (Ewigleben) Wolfe on December 26, 1970, and they spent their years together enjoying traveling, fishing and boating at their home on Lake Webster, and ultimately living their dream at the retirement community of Sweetwater in Haines City.

Vic was a past commander at Fairmount American Legion Post 313 and also served in state office capacities for the Legion. He was always up for a friendly game of poker and a relaxing round of golf. But his greatest love, and most honed skill, was his ability to fish. His trophy bass still hangs in the clubhouse at Sweetwater.

Vic was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, LouAnn.

He is survived by 6 daughters, Kristi (David) Wilt, and Karla (John) Boals, both of Port St. Lucie, Florida, Cathy (Jeff) Maxson of Hobe Sound, Florida, Carolyn Hilton Salary of Lakeland, Florida, Ann Fennimore of Richmond, Indiana and Teri (Kelly) Hawes of Anderson, Indiana; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A memorial Service honoring the life of Victor will be held at Sweetwater at a later date. At his request he will be cremated and entombed with LouAnn in Palm City, Florida.
