On March 16th, 2021 Marion Virginia Keenan, known as Ginny (Virginia) to her friends, passed away at the age of 90 in Fort Pierce, Florida.

Ginny was born in Danbury, CT. February 11, 1931, and graduated from Newtown Hawley High in 1948, shortly after she met William Keenan and the two were married. She was the last of her immediate family of three sons, Frank, Richard, and Jim and she was the youngest daughter born to her parents Pasquale and Mary DiVesta of Bridgeport CT. who built their home and farm on High Bridge Road, Sandy Hook, Newtown CT., where Ginny was raised, and built her home with Bill on the same farm property. She too gave birth to three sons, Gary, Wayne, and Tim, and one youngest daughter Lorraine, all of which are surviving. Ginny was a grandmother to twin boys, Eric and Ryan and a granddaughter, Denise by her daughter Lorraine Branecky. Also, Bill and Ginny fostered a boy from his birth, Harry Agriesto.

Ginny was a kind and loving woman caring deeply for all her family and generous towards all. She was a real farm girl who had fresh fruit pies, juices, jams always at hand for when her children would arrive home from school, not to mention an authentic Italian cook. Her parents were immigrants from Italy, her father was from Foggia, and it was said that he stowed away on a tanker to get to America at the age of 17.

Whilst raising her family to an older age she began to work as an office secretary at Newtown Middle school and was a substitute teacher. Upon Bill's retirement they moved to Port St. Lucie, Florida, not long after Harry died from cancer at the age of 24, and a couple of years after her husband Bill also passed away. She later met and partnered Ron Wolfe for over 20 years until he passed away. During that time, Ginny lived a full life traveling and enjoying many parts of the world and being active in her community, Palm Grove, where everyone liked and loved her. Ginny continued to work as a Chiropractor Office Secretary until she was 87. She was a strong and independent woman who, even after tragedy, continued to live on and put her best foot forward never burdening others with her problems. She loved her pets Randi, Penny, and a surviving cat Lily.

Ginny will be missed by all who knew her.
