Vito Basile, 81, of Palm City, passed away February 25, 2016 at Martin Memorial South in Stuart. He was born in Rome, NY and had been a resident of Palm City for 22years, having moved from West Palm Beach. He had been a Supervisor and a Director for the United States Customs before retirement. He was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Palm City.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Basile of Palm City; daughter, Kathleen (Phillip) Vogelsang of Ada, MI; son, Stephen (Tracy) Basile of Hobe Sound; granddaughters, Amanda Vogelsang and Laura Vogelsang, both of Mighigan; and grandson, Stephen Basile of FL. He was preceded in death by his father, Stephen Basile; mother, Helen Basile; sister, Nicolena Angelo and granddaughter, Rebecca Vogelsang.

Visitation: 9:00-10:00, Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at Forest Hills Funeral Home, Palm City Chapel.
Mass of Christian Burial: 10:30AM. Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Palm City.
Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Palm City.
