Obituary of Walter Wunder

Walter D. Wunder, 82, of Stuart, passed away November 28, 2014 at Martin medical Center in Stuart. He was born in Philadelphia, PA and had been a resident of Stuart since 1976, having moved from Beach Haven, NJ. Walter was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during the Korean War. He was a contractor in residential building.

He was a member of the Miles Grant Country Club, a lifelong member of the V.F.W. Post 10132 in Hobe Sound. Walter was an avid golfer.

He is survived by daughters, Mary Crowley (Paul) of Stuart and Kathleen Knight of FL; sons, Daniel Wunder of Bensalem, PA, Steve Wunder of Port St. Lucie and Walter Wunder Jr. of Stuart; grandchildren, Kristin Wunder, Colton Knight, Garrett Knight, Sarah Wunder and Walker Wunder; 2 great grandchildren; brother, William Wunder of Levittown, PA; sister, Lorraine Bausch (Walter) of Yardley, PA, and many friends and customers of Miles Grant Country Club. He was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Mary Wunder in 1995 and grandson, Walter D. Wunder III in 2000.

Visitation: 12:00PM - 2:00PM, Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at Forest Hills Funeral Home, Palm City.

Interment will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Palm City.
