Obituary of Warren Gerhart

Warren E. Gerhart, 83, of Port St. Lucie, Florida, died May 31, 2009 at Brighton Gardens in Port St. Lucie.

Born in Weatherly, PA, and had been resident of the Stuart and Port St. Lucie for 26 years, having here moved from Morrisville, Pennsylvania.

During World War II he served in the U.S. Marine Corps.

Before retiring he had been maintenance machinist with Public Service Electric and Gas in New Jersey for 34 years.

He was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Stuart. He also had been a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose and The Fraternal Order of Eagles.

He is survived by his daughter, Pamela Snyder of Port St. Lucie; a son, Paul Gerhart of Morrisville, Pennsylvania; sisters, Alice Gerhart and Doris Gerhart, both of Weatherly, Pennsylvania; a brother, Karl Gerhart of Hazelton, Pennsylvania; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Marie A. Gerhart in 1999.

SERVICES: There will be a graveside service at 10:00 AM on June 5, 2009 at Forest Hills Memorial Park, Palm City, Florida with military honors provided by the U.S. Marine Corps.
