Obituary of Washington Testa
Washington J. "George" Testa, 86, of Port St. Lucie, FL, passed away on Thursday, September 18, 2014 at the St. Lucie Medical Center, Port St. Lucie.
Born in Brazil, he had lived in Port St. Lucie for the 24 years, coming from Long Beach, Long Island, NY.
He was a veteran of the US Air Force.
Prior to retiring he was a printer in New York.
He was currently a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Port St. Lucie. He was a former member of American Legion Post 562 in Ridgewood, NY and the New York Printing Pressmen Union.
He is survived by his daughters, Patricia Passero and her husband Rocco of White City, FL, Diane Castardi of Port St. Lucie and Deborah Denyko of Bronx, NY; a son John Denyko and his wife Margarita of Port St. Lucie; his brother, John Testa ; his sister, Josephine Williams and grandchildren, Amanda Castardi and Dion Denyko. He was preceded in death by his wife, Agnes Testa, his brother Rockefeller Testa, and sisters,Vera Amari and Philomena Del Priore.
Visitation will be from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Friday, September 26, 2014 at the Forest Hills Funeral Home, Palm City with a Vigil Prayer Service at 7:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Saturday, September 27, 2014 at Holy Family Catholic Church. Entombment will follow immediately in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Palm City with military honors, provided by the U.S. Air Force.
