Obituary of Whilel Cooper

Whilel Cooper, 84, of Port St. Lucie, FL, passed away, on Thursday, January 22, 2015 at her home. Born in Lacovia, Jamaica, she was a resident of Port St. Lucie for 26 years coming from East Orange, NJ.

Before retiring, she was a certified nurses' aide at Parkway Nursing and Rehabilitative Care Center in Stuart, FL for over 10 years.

She was a member of the Treasure Coast Church of God, Port St. Lucie.



Survivors include her sons, Eggon Cooper of Port St. Lucie and Ansel Cooper and his wife Manisha of the United Kingdom; her daughters, Sharon Cooper of Port St. Lucie , Pauline Small and her husband Mark of Port St. Lucie, Lesia Cooper of Louisville, KY, Loris Cooper of Nantucket, MA and Vanessa Cooper and her husband Eduardo Shann of Port St. Lucie; her brother, Avel Powell of Jamaica; her sister, Meva; nine grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Claudius Cooper and her daughter, Darian Cooper.



Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Thursday, February 5, 2015 at the Forest Hills Funeral Home, Palm City. Services will be at 11:00 AM on Friday, February 6, 2015 at the Treasure Coast Church of God.
