Obituary of Wilbur Turner

Dr. Wilbur Sanford Turner, 83, died Wednesday, June 20, 2007 at his home in Stuart.

Born 1923 in Port Elgin, New Brunswick, Canada, he came to Fort Pierce in 1956 to practice Urology from Charlottesville, VA.

He graduated from Trinity College, Hartford, Conn., University of Buffalo Medical School, Buffalo, NY, and specialized in Urology at the University of Virginia. He is a member of the Florida Urological Society, South-Eastern section of the American Urology Association and a Diplomat of the National Board of Medical Examiners.

He had a private Urology practice in Stuart, FL from 1956-1991 and held surgical rights at Lawnwood Memorial and Martin Memorial Hospitals during that time period.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Betty Jean Turner, and four daughters Gina Robertson, Terry Grazi, Linda Turner, and Kimberly Pope, nine grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and brother, Eldon B. Turner.

He was preceded in death by his grandson, Wilbur Joseph Grazi.

Services will be held Saturday, June 23, 2007, beginning in the chapel at 1:30 PM, Forest Hills Funeral Home, 2001 SW Murphy Rd., Palm City, FL (772) 287-8484. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park.
