William Dale Davant of Palm City, FL, passed away peacefully on May 2,2021 at 90 years of age. Born April 26th 1931 in Miami Florida to William Graves and Marjorie Davant.

Dale grew up in Miami and enjoyed spending many summers fishing with family friends in the Keys. He also enjoyed flying and had a private airplane license.

He enlisted in the Marine Corp and served his country proudly during the Korean Conflict.

Dale spent the majority of his career in the Elevator Industry. He mentored many others throughout his career including two of his sons. He used to tell those who worked in his field. "You don't need to remember everything you just have to know where to find the answers."

When he retired he was excited to get back to his joy and the solace of fishing. He got his Captains license and was back on the ocean. This was only superseded by the love he had for his family and many friends from all walks of life.

He is preceded in death by his parents William Graves and Marjorie Davant and his eldest son William Dale Davnt, Jr. (Bill).

He leaves behind a younger brother Donald Davant. Dale also leaves behind his sons John Scott and his wife Diana Davant, Robert Lee (Deitz) and his wife Diane Davant, 8 Grandchildren & 2 Great Grandchildren, many nieces & nephews.

He will be dearly missed by all.

A memorial service and celebration of his life will be held at Forest Hills Park in Palm City at 2PM on Saturday, May 15 th 2021. In lieu of flowers, please visit the wounded warriors project web site to donate in memory of William Dale Davant.
