Obituary

William K. Fitzsimmons

Bill died peacefully at the hospital on March 19, 2020.  He is survived by his wife, Teresa, his 4 sons, Michael, William, Christopher and Patrick as well as his 2 sisters, Ginger Bayne and Jeanne Petrus and 2 brothers, James and Brad.  Bill also had 9 grandchildren, Angel, Michael, Owen, Justin, Katelynn, Frank, Caroline, Brandon and Layla.  Bill was in the Coast Guard.  He fought in Vietnam and was stationed with the Navy Seals in UDT, underwater demolition.  He received many award including the bronze star.  Bill was a member of the American Legion.

In his spare time, he loved golf, fishing, hunting and spending time at his cabin in PA.  Every Friday he played golf with the Friday group at Miles Grant Country Club.  He got his first hole-in-one this year.  He loved gardening and was successfully growing pineapple plants on our lanai.

Bill was a loving, caring husband, father and grandfather.  He was our best friend.  Billy loved to help people and giving out the pickles and jam that he made was a treat for him.  He was a God-fearing man with a fabulous sense of humor.  Family was everything to him.  He will be missed forever by those who loved him. He was the love of my life.

In lieu of flowers, we are suggesting a donation in his honor to the Gary Sinise Foundation, PO Box 368, Woodland Hills, California, 91365
