Obituary of William Frank
William S. Frank, Jr., 86, of Port St. Lucie, FL, died May 13, 2009 at the Treasure Coast Hospice Harper House, Stuart, Florida.
Born in Sunbury, Pennsylvania, he had lived in Port St. Lucie for 22 years coming from, Naugatuck, Connecticut.
During World War II he had served in the U.S. Navy.
Before retiring had had been a machinist and toolmaker.
He was a Life Member and Chaplain of the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Fraternal Order of the Cooties, AmVets and the Disabled American Veterans.
He was a deacon of the First Congregational Church
Survivors include sons William S. Frank III and his wife Sharon and James E. Frank and his wife Sue-z, both of Port St. Lucie; daughters, Jeanne M. Andreko of New Milford, Connecticut and Kathie Kemerait and her husband Greg J. of Bostic, North Carolina ; brothers, Robert E. Frank of Oxford, New York, Richard "Butch" Frank of Walton, New York; a sister, Ellen Gennarino and Phyllis Chase, both of Unadilla, New York; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Ellen E. Frank; a son Charles W. Frank and a sister Nancy J. Barnard.
SERVICES: Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on May 18, 2009 at Forest Hills Funeral Homes Palm City Chapel. There will be a funeral service at 11:00 AM on May 19, 2009 at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Palm City with military honors.
