Obituary of William Graham
William A. Graham, 88, died Wednesday, February 28, 2007 at his home.
Born in Elizabeth, NJ, he has resided in Stuart since 1980 coming from Southampton, NY.
Prior to retirement he and his wife owned Frankenbachs Florist and Nursery in Southampton, NY.
He was an Army veteran of World War II; he fought in the invasion on June 6, 1944 and was wounded in action. He received Purple Heart with two Oak Leaf Clusters; European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal and Ribbon with three bronze stars; Service Star; World War II Victory Medal and Ribbon; American Campaign Medal and ribbon; and the Good Conduct Medal.
He was a member of the Lions Club and V. F. W. both in Southampton, NY.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Marion H. Graham of Stuart; son, Michael Graham of Belle Haven, VA; daughter, Maureen Schamus of Southampton; three grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Calling hours will be 12 noon to 4 PM, Monday, March 5, 2007 at Forest Hills Funeral Home in Palm City. Funeral Services will be held at 4 PM, Monday, March 5, 2007 at the funeral home with Rev. Joseph Quinn officiating and military honors provided by U. S. Army.
