Obituary of William Hedges
William Andrew Hedges, 64, of Port St. Lucie, Florida, died, December 24, 2009 at his home.
Born in Evergreen Park, Illinois, he had been a resident of Port St. Lucie for 16 years coming from Richton Park, Illinois.
Prior to retiring he was a police officer with the Matteson, Illinois Police Department for 20 years. He had also been with the Blue Island, Illinois Police Department prior to that for 10 years
He was a member and past officer of the Port St. Lucie Lodge 2658 B.P.O. Elks; past vice commander of the Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 58, member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 1282, Stuart, Florida and Sons of the American Revolution.
Survivors include his wife of 14 years, Lois M. Hedges of Port St. Lucie, a son Michael Petriekis of Palm City; a daughter Jody Yeates of St. Louis, Missouri and 2 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother Robert Hedges.
SERVICES: There will be a memorial service at a later date.
