Obituary of William Heffernan

William P. Heffernan, 92, of Palm City, passed away July 26, 2015 at Martin Medical Center in Stuart. William has been a resident of Palm City for 22 years, having moved from Massachusetts. He was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Palm City.

He is survived by his daughter, Linda Heffernan and her husband, Martin Spiegel of Swarthmore, PA; sons, William Heffernan of Chicago, IL and James Heffernan and his wife, JoAnn of Grover, MO; 2 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Moultis Heffernan and his second wife, Eleanor Heffernan and 4 siblings.

William lived an interesting life having lived in Hartford, Boston, Chicago, Garden City NY, Seattle Washington, West Springfield Mass and Palm City, Florida, all of which brought new friends and wonderful times. His professional life culminated as the Director of Offset Printing for A.B. Dick Company in Chicago, after which he became the owner of an A.B. Dick Distributorship in Springfield, Mass.

He also served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Mass of Christian Burial: 11:00 AM, July 30, 2015 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Palm City.

Inurnment will follow at a later date in Forest Hills Memorial Park.
