William Richard Heilman

Palm City, FL – William Richard Heilman, 88, passed away peacefully at home on July 23, 2024. He was born on July 14,1936 in Baltimore, MD, the son of Rudolph Charles Heilman and Nettie Blanche (Hoover) Heilman. William joined the Navy in 1954 and worked as an Avionics Electrician until 1957.

William married Mary Esther Gordon in Baltimore January 14, 1959. He worked for Glenn L Martin Company in avionics. He then worked at Westinghouse Electric in Baltimore on medical imaging systems. CGR Medical systems acquired Westinghouse and William began a long career as a Field X-ray Service Engineer. In 1977 he was transferred from Baltimore to Palm City. Subsequently General Electric Medical Division acquired CGR Medical systems and William continued his work until he retired in 1998, Mary passed away in 1995.

William married Judith Kaye Hahn on July 4,1997 in Vero Beach FL; they lived in Palm City. William was member of the VFW and enjoyed singing Karaoke, boating and fishing

He is predeceased by his brothers Charles and Wesley and sister Dorothy.

Surviving William, in addition to Judith, are sister Nancy Strim, sons Rick and Randy and daughter Laura.

A viewing for family and friends will be held Saturday July 27th10 am to 12 pm followed immediately by a service of remembrance at Forrest Hills Funeral home, Murphy Road in Palm City.
