Obituary of William Johnson

William I. Johnson, 86, of Port St. Lucie, passed away May 26, 2009 at Treasure Coast Hospice in Fort Pierce. He was born in Tappahannock, VA. He had been a resident of Port St. Lucie since 1993, having moved from Edgewater Park, NJ. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was a foreman at Robeling Steel Mill, in Robeling, NJ, before retirement. William was a member of the New Testament Faith Center in Port St. Lucie, and was a deacon at the church, on the executive board, the Angelic Voices, the Church Beautification, and a member of their Gold & Silver Club, and was a member of the Just Friends Club.

He is survived by sons, William I. Johnson Jr. of Pittsburgh, PA, Arnold K. Johnson of Capitol Heights, MD, Gary Johnson of Port St. Lucie, and Stephen Johnson of Willingboro, NJ; daughters, Cynthia Roberts of West Palm Beach and Paulette Thomas of Port St. Lucie; 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Flossie Johnson, 5 sisters and 1 brother.

Visitation will be 9-11:00AM, Tuesday, at New Testament Faith Center, 862 SW Glenview Ct., Port St. Lucie.

Funeral service will follow immediately in the church at 11:00AM.

Interment will in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Palm City.

Arrangements are entrusted to Forest Hills Funeral Home, Palm City Chapel.
