Obituary of William Marin

WILLIAM (BILL) MARIN, age 82, of Stuart, Florida passed away on March 31, 2008 in Stuart, FL. Mr. Marin was born on July 20, 1925 in Puerto Rico to Jose Maria and Dolores (Bonilla) Marin. He came to this area in 1980 from Long Island, New York. Mr. Marin was a US Army Veteran of WW II, serving in the South Pacific as an infantryman and was awarded two purple hearts for his service. He spent the majority of his career in the automotive industry and after retirement to Stuart, he served the local community as a handyman. Bill was a skilled craftsman with an interest in carpentry. He had the ability to understand and repair anything that broke. By being a handyman, he touched the lives and homes of many family, friends and neighbors.

Survivors include his loving wife of 60 years, Iris (Mirayes) Marin of Stuart, FL, a daughter Lisbeth Marin and two sons; William and Kevin Marin. Also surviving are five grandchildren; Alicia, Lelaina, Trevor, Matthew and Alec.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 3, 2008 at Forest Hills Funeral Home, 2001 SW Murphy Road, Palm City, FL 34990. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park. A visitation will be held on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. A guest registry may be signed at www.foresthillsfunerals.com
