William J. Neal, 84, of Palm City, Florida, passed away on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at the Martin Hospital South, Stuart, Florida.

Born in Cleveland, Ohio, he had been a resident of Palm City for 22 years coming from Deerfield Beach, Florida.

During the Korean War, he served in the U.S. Coast Guard. He also served in the Coast Guard Auxiliary.

Before retiring he was the Chief of Police of the Deerfield Beach, Florida Police Department.

He was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Palm City.

Survivors include his wife, Eileen Kitzerow Neal of Palm City; his daughters, Kim Neal of Palm City and Bonnie J. Clements of Stuart; his grandsons, Blake Clements and his wife Danielle of Laguna Nigel, California and Cody Clements of Port St. Lucie, Florida and his great grand child, Vada Clements. He was preceded in death by his first wife Shirley Neal.

Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 AM on Monday, February 27, 2017 at the Forest Hills Funeral Home, Palm City with a service in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in the Forest Hills Memorial Park, Palm City.
