Obituary of William Walker
William M. "Pop" Walker, 82, OF Port Salerno, Florida, died August 22, 2010 at Martin Memorial Hospital South, Stuart.
Born in Harlan, Kentucky, he had been a resident of Port Salerno for over 40 years coming from Taylor, Michigan.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Prior to retirement he was a mechanic with Martin County for 15 years. He also worked at the Florida Steel Mill in Indiantown for 10 years and worked for General Motors in Michigan.
He was a member of the Salerno Southern Methodist Church, Port Salerno, a Lifetime Member of the Port Salerno Fire Department and an Honorary Member of the VFW.
Survivors include sons, Lloyd Johnson, Henry H. Johnson, Edgar Johnson, Ted
Johnson and a daughter Ellen Johnson all of Port Salerno and a son Paul Patterson of
California; 14 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; a niece and 3 grandnephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 30 years, Judith Walker and a son Walter
Johnson.
SERVICES: Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on August 25, 2010 at the Forest
Hills Funeral Homes Palm City Chapel with a service at 7:30 PM. There will be a
graveside service at 10:00 AM on August 26, 2010 at Pinerest Cemetery, Port Salerno.
