Obituary of Winifred Bell
Winifred J. Bell was born on December 20, 1936 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She departed this life on September 23, 2015. Winifred was a people's person; no one was a stranger to her. Winifred had a talent for design, (If you've ever seen her work, you know she could take a room and decorate it to look like a showcase!) She really loved her family. Winifred was a loving and devoted wife. She was a sister, aunt, sister-in-law, friend and a faithful prayer partner.
She was the second child of the late John and Pauline F. Hicks of Grand Rapids, Michigan, who preceded her in death. Her Sister, Kay Vaughn, and brother, John F. Hicks, Jr. also preceded her in death.
Upon graduating from Ottawa Hills High School in the class of 1954, Winifred was employed as a secretary for the United States Window Cleaning Business, the Library of Medicine in Bethesda, Maryland, and also for the government's Department of Defense in Belvoir, Virginia.
She accepted Christ at an early age. She was a dedicated member at Parkview Baptist Church in Hyattsville, Maryland, where she served as musician, playing the piano and organ.
Winifred married the love of her life, Ulysses Bell on January 31, 1962. They were together for 55 beautiful years. Winifred and her husband moved from Upper Marlboro, Maryland to the sunshine state of Florida in beautiful West Palm Beach in 1999.
