Surrounded by family, Wycliffe John Jones (Johnny) passed away from this life March 31st, 2019.
Johnny was born in Darliston, Jamaica on October 12, 1959 to parents Clifford and Ena Jones. A graduate of Mannings High School, he earned an educational degree from Churches Teachers College. He then taught at Maud McLeod High School for approximately six years where he helped to shape young minds.
In 1986 Johnny migrated to the United States of America and settled in the state of Maryland. There he attended Lincoln Technological Institute, procuring an automotive certificate and graduating top of his class. He went on to work for General Motors. After approximately 15 years in Maryland Johnny moved to the sunshine state of Florida and spent the next 4 1/2 years working for Broward County. His career with the county came to an end when he was injured in a motor vehicle accident, so he relocated to the treasure coast.
Johnny loved and cherished family and friends; always willing to do for them. He loved to cook and entertain, but his greatest passion in life was MUSIC!
Surviving to cherish Johnny's memories is the love of his life, wife: Yvonne Hewitt-Jones; children: Charles Jones; Kadryne Morgan; Tyannique Morgan; his precious grandchild: Amirah Jones; sisters: Jannet Jangalee; Shirley Green; Debbie-Ann Watt; brothers: Merton Jones; Keith Jones; Milton Jones; Paul Jones; sisters-in-law: Andrea Jones; Veronica Jones; Marcia Jones; Noleen Jones; brothers-in-law: Caple Green; Desmon Jangalee and 50 neices and nephews.
Family and friends will gather to celebrate Johnny's life Saturday, April 13, at 11:00 A.M. Viewing will be from 9--11: A.M.
Johnny has fought a good fight, he has kept the faith and finished his race. R.I.P my beloved husband.
