Zoe Waterman, 65, passed away peacefully on March 15, 2016 during a brief stay under the loving care at the Treasure Coast Hospice house in Stuart, FL.
Zoe was born in Wareham, MA April 30, 1950 to her parents Dorothy Fisher Waterman and George Allen Waterman. She grew up in Riverside CT with her identical twin Margery, her older sister Cindy and big brother Daniel. She moved to Florida in 1984 with her mother who she lived with in Martin Downs and who cared for her for 15 years.
She was very talented. One of her hobbies was making needlepoint pillows and pictures and writing in her story book about the lives of girls, their pets and their interesting journeys together. She was an animal lover and owned many cats over her life. She also loved TV and her beloved animal planet channel. In her earlier years she was a private kennel attendant for a family in Lake Forest, Illinois and cared for Miniature Schnauzers. She also loved her Schnauzers, Jigs I & Jigs II. Her favorite big pet was Lucky, her pinto gelding horse she had when she lived in Florence, Alabama.
She is survived by her twin, Margery, and her husband Rick Wentworth, her brother Daniel Waterman, his wife Debra and their children Ben, Charlie, and Andrew and their respective spouses and children. She was laid to rest next to her Mother at the Forest Hills Memorial Park in Palm City, FL. March 25, 2016.
Her family would like to thank the unconditional care and friendship of her nurse, Joyce Hancock. In memory of Zoe the family requests donations to be sent to the Treasure Coast Hospice, Stuart FL or The Volunteers in Medicine, Stuart, FL or the Humane Society of the Treasure Coast in Palm City, FL where she rescued many of her feline friends.
